Why this move matters

A budget you keep for a while holds thousands of transactions, and scanning for one is hopeless. Filters turn a pile into an answer: what went to this payee, what hit this category last month, what was over this amount. Save the ones you reach for and the question becomes a single click.

Do it in Vondo

1. On the Transactions screen, choose Add filter and narrow by account, category, payee, type, a date range, or an amount range. Stack several to ask a precise question, here, everything over $100.

2. Read the filtered list. It is now just the slice you asked for, and the totals reflect only what is shown.

The Vondo Transactions screen filtered to amounts over $100: an Amount filter chip is applied and the list shows only the matching entries.

3. Save a set you will want again. Open Views, choose Save current as, and give it a name. Reopen it any time from Views.

The Vondo Views menu open with a Save current as form, naming the current filter set

4. Choose Clear filters to return to the full list.

What you should see now

Exactly the transactions you were looking for, and the questions you ask most are one tap away instead of rebuilt each time.

Back to the loop. Filters make Notice and Reconciliation faster, finding the one entry to check stops being a hunt.
