About Vondo

Anyone can learn to run their money.
Almost no one is taught how.

Vondo exists because what usually stands between people and control of their money isn't income, it's method. So we teach one: five moves you learn once and repeat every month. The app is where you run them.

Why we built it this way

Tracking tells you what happened. A method tells you what to do.

Most money apps open on a dashboard: charts of money already spent, tidied into categories after the fact. It reads like a report card. You can look at it every day and still not know what to do differently tomorrow.

We built the other way around. The method came first, then the app, and the app has exactly one job: make the five moves easy enough that you keep making them. It does the arithmetic, the reminders, the running totals. The decisions stay yours.

That's also why the guides are free and open to anyone, account or not. If you learn the method here and run it on paper, we did the work we set out to do.

The mark

A pentagon. Five sides for five moves, in a shape that closes.

  • View Check what is real
  • Organize Assign to zero
  • Notice Log as you spend
  • Direct Move money when life moves
  • Outlast Get a month ahead

Hold us to these

What we commit to

Not values on a wall. Each of these is a decision already made in the product, and each one costs us something.

Manual entry, on purpose

Vondo doesn't connect to your bank. Typing a purchase is the moment you notice it, and noticing is the whole point of the method. It also means there are no banking credentials for us to lose, and the app works the same wherever you live and whatever you spend.

No ads, no trackers, no data sale

We make money one way: people pay for the app. Your budget is the most personal file you keep, and it isn't inventory.

No card to start

The first 45 days need no payment method at all, so there is nothing to remember to cancel and nothing charged by surprise. We would rather earn the subscription than collect it before you know whether the method works for you.

One price, everything in it

No tiers, no add-ons, nothing held back for a higher plan. $14.99 a year or $1.99 a month, and the household you budget with is included at no extra cost.

Your data leaves when you do

Export everything to CSV whenever you want. When a trial or a subscription ends, Vondo goes read-only instead of deleting: you keep reading your own history for as long as you like. The only thing that erases your data is you asking us to.

Two languages, the same care

English and Spanish are both first-class: the app, the guides, the support replies. Written in each language, not run through a translator. More will follow the same way. The language you think in shouldn't decide whether you get to learn this.

Who is behind it

The people who build Vondo budget in it

We use the app on our own money, every month, through the same five moves. When something in it is annoying, we're the ones being annoyed, which is the shortest feedback loop we know how to build.

We answer our own support email, in English and Spanish. Write about a bug, a budgeting question, or a feature you want, and a person on the team writes back.

Start where you are.

You don't need a finance degree or a bigger paycheck to begin. You need a method, and somewhere to run it. Both are here, and the first 45 days cost nothing.
