Why this move matters

Predictable bills are not a decision, they are a chore, and the only real risk is forgetting one. But an app that pays things automatically takes you out of the loop, which is the opposite of staying in control. Vondo splits the difference: it remembers the schedule and queues what is due, and you confirm it into your budget.

Do it in Vondo

1. Open Recurring Bills and choose New Recurring Bill. Set the payee, amount, category, account, and how often it repeats, plus the next date it is due. A recurring bill can be an expense, a transfer, a loan payment, or even a split, the same shapes a normal transaction can take.

The Vondo Add Recurring Bill form filled in for a monthly rent bill: type, frequency, start date, account, amount, payee and category.

2. When one comes due, Vondo flags it, on the Recurring Bills screen and as a reminder on the mobile home screen, and offers Apply Due. Nothing has happened to your budget yet.

The Vondo Recurring Bills screen listing a monthly rent bill that is due today, with an Apply Due button.

3. Choose Apply Due and pick which of the due bills to enter now, the rest stay on the list for later. Applying creates the real transactions, exactly as if you had typed them, so every category’s Available updates the way Notice showed.

The Vondo Apply Due dialog: a checklist of the recurring bills that are due, with the total, to pick which to enter now before confirming.

What you should see now

Your due bills are entered as ordinary transactions, the affected categories have moved, and the ones you did not apply are still waiting. Nothing left your accounts without you saying so.

Back to the loop. This is the setup that makes Notice faster: the routine bills enter themselves on your confirmation, leaving you to record only the spending that actually varies.
