Why this move matters
Two people budgeting in two apps is not one budget, it is two guesses that drift apart. The rent gets assigned twice or not at all, and nobody trusts the total. A shared household means one plan: when one person records the groceries, the other sees the category move, on their own phone, right away.
Do it in Vondo
1. On the web, open Settings from the menu under your name at the bottom of the sidebar and go to the Households section. Under Invite a new member, enter the person’s email and choose Send invitation. They join with their own Vondo login, so nobody shares a password, and a household holds up to five people, you plus four.
2. Understand the roles. The owner is you: you manage billing and the household settings, like its timezone and currency, and you are the one who invites and removes people. Everyone you invite is a member, they record transactions and assign money, the day-to-day of the method.
3. Budget as usual. Everything syncs across every person and device, so the plan is always current no matter who touched it last.
What you should see now
One budget, shared. The people spending the money are the people keeping the plan, and there is a single set of numbers everyone trusts.
A note on access
You can remove a member at any time, and a removed member loses access to the household immediately. A member can also leave on their own. As the owner you cannot leave, since every household needs one; the owner’s exit is to delete the household instead. Either way, the budget is not disturbed by who comes and goes.
